Ries.AI Terms of Service

Welcome to Ries.AI. These Terms of Service apply to your access to and use of the Ries.AI website, browser extension, and related services. Ries.AI is operated by KNOWHOW AI Inc., a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing, registering for, installing, purchasing, or using Ries.AI, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Service description

Ries.AI provides language-exposure and English-learning support features, including content enhancement, explanations, language-preference controls, account services, subscriptions, and related functionality. We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service over time.

3. Eligibility and account

• You must be able to enter into legally binding agreements.
• You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and security of your account information.
• You must keep your login credentials secure and are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Ries.AI to:

• violate applicable law, regulation, or regulatory requirements;
• infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights of others;
• distribute illegal, fraudulent, harassing, hateful, pornographic, malicious, or otherwise harmful content;
• interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to bypass our security, billing, fraud-prevention, or access-control systems; or
• abuse the service through large-scale automation, scraping, or unauthorized reverse engineering.

5. Subscriptions, payments, and refunds

• Some features may require a subscription, one-time purchase, or other paid access.
• Unless we clearly say otherwise, pricing, benefits, timing, renewal rules, and scope are governed by the checkout, billing, or product page shown at the time of purchase.
• You authorize us or our third-party payment providers to charge the applicable fees for the plan you choose.
• If payment fails, a chargeback occurs, a refund is issued, fraud risk is identified, or an order looks abnormal, we may limit related access or suspend the service.

6. User content

• You keep any rights you legally have in the content you submit, input, upload, or generate.
• You grant us permission to process that content to the extent needed to provide, maintain, improve, and secure the service.
• You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.

7. Intellectual property

• Ries.AI and its related software, interfaces, model orchestration, designs, trademarks, copy, and content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
• Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for personal or internal business purposes.
• You may not reproduce, sell, distribute, adapt, sublicense, or commercially exploit any part of the service without our written permission.

8. Third-party services

Ries.AI may integrate with third-party platforms, browser stores, sign-in providers, payment processors, analytics providers, or AI/model providers. Those third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for their availability, content, or conduct.

9. AI output and disclaimer

• Ries.AI is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
• We do not guarantee that every enhancement, explanation, or language-learning aid will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for legal, medical, financial, or other high-risk situations.
• AI output can be affected by context, input quality, model limitations, and third-party systems. You should review outputs with your own judgment where needed.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KNOWHOW AI Inc. and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, consequential, or goodwill-related losses, or for lost profits or lost data. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you actually paid to us in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Suspension and termination

If we reasonably believe that you violated these Terms, created a security risk, abused the service, refused payment, or triggered a legal or compliance obligation, we may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the service without prior notice.

12. Updates to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the website, in-product messages, email, or other reasonable means. The updated Terms become effective when posted. Your continued use of the service means you accept the updated Terms.
